Founded in 2014, Etta Every is a small-scale, predominantly made-to-order slow fashion brand based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Founded in 2014, Etta Every is a small-scale, made-to-order slow fashion brand based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Designs hover between the ethereal and earthy: whimsical pieces with a nod to historical costume are balanced with a grittier androgyny. Drawing on influences across the arts, collections are storied and conceptual, and are often accompanied by musical releases via The May Project, Etta Every’s musical counterpart, and a form of written work.

Keeping things small-scale through a responsible slow fashion approach has been in the Etta Every DNA from the outset, opting to predominantly make to order rather than buying large amounts of fabric and producing styles in bulk.

This approach keeps fabric and clothing waste to a minimum, and also means that each piece has been lovingly sewn from start to finish by Katie Brown, the Etta Every designer, especially for each customer!

With a focus on natural fibres with longevity, the majority of fabrics used are deadstock or designer ends, sourced from local suppliers.

Katie designs with an eye to each piece being one that is unique, treasured and worn for years to come.
